Do you enjoy throwing parties? Do you like going to parties?
I discussed this theme with my students from Inter 5. So, take a look at these pictures and some kinds of parties:
A birthday party is a celebration of the anniversary of the birth of the person who is being honored. Birthday parties are a feature of many cultures.
A baby shower is a way to celebrate the pending or recent birth of a child by presenting gifts to the parents at a party.
A bridal shower is a gift-giving party held for a bride-to-be in anticipation of her wedding. The custom originated in the 1890s and is today most common in the United States, Canada, and by American influence, in Australia.
A costume party is a type of party where guests dress up in a costume.
A tea party is a formal gathering for afternoon tea. These parties are traditionally attended only by women, but men may also be invited.
A bachelor party (a stag party, stag night, stag do, a bull's party, a buck's party or buck's night) is a party held for a bachelor shortly before he enters marriage, to make the most of his final opportunity to engage in activities a new partner might not approve of, or merely to spend time with his male friends.
A bachelorette party (hen party, hen do, or hen night) is a party held for a woman who is about to be married.
A welcome party is held for the purpose of welcoming a newcomer, such as a new club member, a new employee, or a family's new baby.
A housewarming party may be held when a family, couple, or person moves into a new house or apartment. It is an occasion for the hosts to show their new home to their friends.
A dinner party is a social gathering at which people eat dinner together, usually in the host’s home.
Enjoy yourselves!!!
See you, guys...
