clocks!
kids 5 made a clock of paper plates (those ones we usually see in birthday parties).
They used straws to make the hands of it, and after they colored the plate.
They used straws to make the hands of it, and after they colored the plate.
They are learning their quarters and halves, and it's so cute because they barely now it in their mother tongue. Blame the digital clocks! kkkk

A good lesson in southerness
Southern women know their summer weather report:
Humidity
Humidity
Humidity
Southern women know their vacation spots:
The beach
The rivuh
The crick
Southern women know everybody's first name:
Honey
Darlin'
Shugah
Southern women know the movies that speak to their hearts:
Fried Green Tomatoes
Driving Miss Daisy
Steel Magnolias
Gone With The Wind
Southern girls know the 3 deadly sins:
Having bad hair and nails
Having bad manners
Cooking bad food
More Suthen-ism's:
Only a Southerner knows the difference between a hissie fit and a conniption fit, and that you don't "HAVE" them, you "PITCH" them.
Only a Southerner knows how many fish, collard greens, turnip greens, peas, beans, etc., make up "a mess."
Only a Southerner can show or point out to you the general direction of "yonder."
Only a Southerner knows exactly how long "directly" is, as in:
"Going to town, be back directly."
All Southerners know exactly when "by and by" is. They might not use the term, but they know the concept well.
Only a Southerner knows instinctively that the best gesture of solace for a neighbor who's got trouble is a plate of hot fried chicken and a big bowl of cold potato salad. If the neighbor's trouble is a real crisis, they also know to add a large banana puddin'!
Only Southerners grow up knowing the difference between "right near" and "a right far piece." They also know that "just down the road" can be 1 mile or 20.
No true Southerner would ever assume that the car with the flashing turn signal is actually going to make a turn.
Put 100 Southerners in a room and half of them will discover they're related, even if only by marriage.

So many voices in one
Watch this girl doing a medley of Lady Gaga's hits using only her voice.
It's amazing!

You've probably heard about the song I'm yours.
Teens 3 decided to sing it and Ana Luísa was the one in charge of the guitar.

Come on up to the house
A beautiful and enlighted song by Tom Waits, with a simple but creative video clip. It's worth watching:
All your cryin don't do no good
Come on up to the house
Come down off the cross
We can use the wood
Come on up to the house
Absolutely touching. Follow the lyrics on the man's skin and try to understand the full meaning of this deep song.
By the way:
Where and what is "the house"? Why does he say "the world isn't my house"? Tell me your opinion in the comments.

once upon a time....
Hello people!
Well, we're back to our reading of each semester. Soon each one of us will have a "friend" to share two months of our lives, two really nice and rewarding months.
So to get you in the mood, here's an e-book with a classical and totally cute tale of remarkable Beatrix Potter (you might remember the movie "Miss Potter", and I'm not talking about Harry ok? kkkkk). Illustrations by the author (wasn't she really talented?).

A picture is worth a thousand words
Somewhere near Rochester, New York, Ed set out to bag his buck at 5:30 a.m. By 11:30 a.m., he was exhausted and hungry--and still no buck. At 12 noon, the mighty hunter Ed guards the remains of his lunch while a passerby snaps a quiet photo while trying not to startle the deer with a belly laugh. What a hunter!
Consider yourself warned:
It's good to focus on what's important... ?
A definite entrepreneurial spirit:
Clearly, you're not wanted on this property!
