Do you like horror stories?
I'm a great fan of this genre. For me, the psychological tension is the best spice in a movie despite its genre, but it's in horror movies that this mental pressure becomes more outlighted.
This year I was delighted when I read an AWESOME horror short story. It's called The Monkey's Paw.
In this story, you will not find monsters, you will not have blood or vampires or anything like this. You will only find a man and a woman haunted by their own wishes.
"The Monkey's Paw" is a short story of horror by author W. W. Jacobs. It was published in England in 1902. The story is based on the famous "setup" in which three wishes are granted. In the story, the paw of a dead monkey is a talisman that grants its possessor three wishes, but the wishes come with an enormous price.
Be careful what you wish for...
If you feel curious and want to read the story, click here. It's very short, less than 30 pages. But if you prefer, here's a modern adaptation of the story:
I hope you like it!
